Post-Merge Power Rankings

#1 – Drea (EVEN)

Drea calling what Rocksroy’s advantage would be was an all-time moment in this show. She managed to find herself on the right side of this group post-merge, and didn’t once sweat about needing to use one of her advantages. She’s a physical threat. She’s savvy. The only downside – I could see an alliance that already voted one of their own, canibalize itself once more if she has a short temper with Maryanne. After last Tribal Council, it seems like there could be some drama brewing between the two.

#2 – Jonathan (+1)

Jonathan moves up after the merge because 1.) he’s managed to take the target off of his back for being a fucking behemoth and 2.) he found an ally in Omar who was willing to do his bidding for him, despite not having a vote himself. I wasn’t sure if he has the social prowess to make it all the way to the $1 million. Now after Omar fought for him to stay, I’m second guessing that. He gets the edge over Mike simply because he has more members of his initial tribe left.

#3 – Mike (+2)

Mike is one of five survivors who made it through the merge without needing to use an Idol. He and Hai are in very similar spots. They both just showed a willing to compromise by voting out Lydia. Mike’s advantages over Hai are in physical challenges, and his actually advantage – the three-way shared immunity idol. He also seems to have made stronger inter-tribe alliances than Hai at this point.

#4 – Hai (-2)

While Hai is a member of the majority, he did just lose his closest ally, Lydia. The person he was willing to go to rocks for, he sold out in an attempt to extend his life in this game. Instead of jumping ship and getting Chanelle, Lydia, Romeo, Tori, and Maryanne/Drea to vote out Jonathan, he played it safe and showed a willingness to adapt and compromise, just like Mike. I think Hai’s social awareness will get him far in this game, but not having Lydia on the jury could prove costly for his end game.

#5 – Omar (+6)

This is my formal apology to Omar. You beautiful virgin you did it. You saved Jonathan without even having a vote. He saw an opportunity and exploited a sacrificial lamb. This is the beginning of his resume. My worry with him is that he peaked too soon, will be seen as manipulative, and thus a threat. I don’t believe he’ll win more than one individual immunity, so if I were him, I’d start to lay low for a while.

#6 – Lindsay (+1)

Lindsay moves up 1 spot and is now the most average player in this game. She’s on the right side of this group with an advantage whose power could begin to mature with an elimination of Hai or Drea. The problem is that it doesn’t appear either of those two will be next in line for the next 3+ eliminations.

#7 – Rocksroy (+5)

Just like Erika, Rocksroy made the easiest decision in the history of decisions. He smashed the hourglass. I hate this twist. It’s a get out of jail free card for whoever gets exiled. No one held his decision against him except for Tori, and other castaways were murmuring that she dug her own grave by confronting him in front of everyone. I think he’s the clear first man out of this majority, and for a man who doesn’t want to be apart of a voting alliance, that’s a bad place to be.

#8 – Maryanne (EVEN)

Drea may kill Maryanne tonight and that’s not really an exaggeration. She through tribal scott-free, and has time to change the dynamics of this island since she has that immunity idol. If she doesn’t learn how much her bubbly personality is rubbing the rest of her peers the wrong way, she could be out next, but she’s not my pick for tonight’s elimination.

#9 – Romeo (-5)

First and foremost, I give Romeo immense credit for opening up about his concerns over his family possibly not accepting him for who he is. To be so honest when you know they’ll all watch it could not have been easy.

That being said, I feel like he’s drifting away as Drea’s top ally, which I thought was his only shot at staying in the game. Let’s see if he Omar’s me and makes me eat my own words.

#10 – Tori (-4)

Tori had a chance to start a clean slate and showed her true colors almost immediately. I think she can go on a run of challenge wins, but that’ll only get her so far.

#11 – Chanelle (-1)

Chanelle seems to have come out of the merge with no alliance, and it couldn’t be any more obvious. And she knows that. This week is her last chance to put together a six that can vote out one of Drea, Jonathan, Hai, Mike, Lindsay or Omar, but she’s definitely short on options. She’s my pick to get eliminated tonight.
