It’s the best weekend of the college football season. Conference championship weekend is finally upon us. The Trainwreck crew has a nice competition going on to determine who the top dog is. May the best man win. All picks are based on spreads. We picked every spread in the championships this weekend, but I will give my best picks at the end of this blog.
The Buffalo Bills are coming off of a big Thanksgiving win against the Saints, but fate of this season truly comes down to this Monday Night Football game against the Patriots. This game is for first place in the division. The stadium is going to be the highest energy game that fans have experienced in the last 25 years. I can’t wait to experience this game in person.
The loss of Tre White is a catastrophic loss to this team, but it has to be a next man up mentality. Dane Jackson is a solid player and it is now his opportunity to prove himself to this team.
Mac Jones and the Patriots are playing solid football and are coming into Orchard Park on Monday looking to lock up the AFC East. Bills fans are all too familiar with devastating Patriots losses, but this Bills team is better than any team in years past. Spencer Brown returns to the lineup which will help with the offensive line struggles. Star Lotulelei also returns from the Covid-19 list which should help the defensive line tremendously. Star eats up double teams which allows the linebackers to fill gaps and slow down the run game. If Josh stops with the turnovers and we win the turnover battle in the game, I think the Bills should win this game handily.
The weather is expected to be shit on Monday. The weather report is calling for rain and 30-40mph winds. I am not sure who this favors, but it is incredibly important to see who will handle these elements the best. This will be the most hostile crowd Mac Jones has played in this season. I can’t wait to be inside the stadium hearing the crowd during the game. This will no doubt be a playoff atmosphere in the regular season.
