O-line dominating the trenches
Since the Bills have switched to Joe Brady as their offensive coordinator, they have become a more balanced unit. One of the reasons they have achieved that balance is the dominance of the offensive line. Last year, without a star WR and the emergence of James Cook and MVP Josh Allen, the offensive line was the engine that made the whole thing go. This year has been no different. Last week, we showed how dominant the unit can be against an inferior team. Allen didn’t even have to play well for the Bills to dominate this game; they just leaned on New York for 4 quarters and imposed their will.
Pass Rush goes from good to great
On the defensive side of the ball, the line answered the bell. Joey Bosa had one of the best pass-rushing grades in the league last week and looks to be rounding into his potential all-pro form, which is everything the Bills could’ve hoped for and more. With Ed Oliver out, the Bills could still snuff out the Jets’ run game. The Dolphins present a different challenge, but should still sell out to stop Achane and the Dolphins’ explosive run game, because Tua has looked rough this yea,r especially when under pressure and this Bills d-line has shown they have the chance to take over games.
Ride the wave
Will the Dolphins come out motivated to play for their coach and save their season? Are they ready to roll over tonight? We will find out their motivation level really early on. If there is a chance to deliver a knockout blow early on, the Bills should take it. It’ll be evident early if the Dolphins are fighting for their coach or dead men walking.
