South Point 400 Race Preview

This Sunday Night we will see the first race of the Round of 12 for the NASCAR Cup Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Coming off a crazy race at Bristol, Vegas is gonna have a tough time following up. The 1.5-mile track is ready for the high speeds and one driver could propel himself into the Round of 8 with a win. Who will be that driver that locks himself in? Let’s get into it and who could see themselves in Victory Lane.

Betting Picks

Longshot Pick: Ross Chastain (60/1)

How does the melon man have odds this long with how he has run in the playoffs so far? Ross Chastain was up fighting for the win at Darlington and a great run at Richmond you would have to figure he is gonna keep his good runs going. Not to mention the fact he has won at this track in the Xfinity series. If you want a guy who has a lot of value in betting this week take the 42 of Chastain.

Underdog Pick: Christopher Bell (20/1)

Another guy who is probably not getting the respect he deserves. Bell has had some great runs in the first round, although his Bristol run was derailed by a flat tire. Bell has the power under the hood to get it done, so if you are looking for a guy who has a little bit longer odds, look no further.

My Race Favorite: Joey Logano (11/1)

This is a tough choice, but I think the numbers from the past speak for themselves for the 22. Logano has two wins in the last ten races here and did well in the first round. Vegas is a track that he knows well and will be towards the front (barring having a prerace penalty.) Logano is my pick to win this week and with 11/1 odd that should be a good return on your betting slips.
