Last weekend was the worst of the season by far. The picks I gave sucked, Urban Meyer stuck his fingers into the Bills offense, and the Bills O line looked completely lost.
Given the circumstances, this was the worst loss of the Beane/McDermott era. Sure we have been blown out by the Ravens and Chargers in years past in embarrassing fashion, but this is the team that has all of the expectations. I am not worried about the future of the Bills this season, but I believe I speak for all Bills fans after the game wondering, “What the fuck was that?” That’s really all you can say.
Josh Allen got the better of Josh Allen. Thank God we don’t have to hear about that storyline anymore. Oh? It’s the first time a player sacked a quarterback with the same name? No shit. Whatever, that game sucked. The Buffalo offensive line forget how to block. Josh was running for his life for three hours, trying to make miracle throws which has gotten him in trouble in years past. It’s clear that whenever the offense is struggling and Josh doesn’t have any time, he retracts back to his old hero ball ways. I understand he’s doing everything in his power to make a play, but no plays were made this past Sunday.
I’m considering emailing Brandon Beane to see if he needs me to come out of retirement, throw the shoulder pads back on and hop onto the o-line. If that was the case I would of course need to ask Reid Ferguson to give up his #69 jersey.
The Bills head to New Jersey on Sunday on a business trip to (hopefully) throttle the Jets. Am I concerned that Mike White is going to sling the pill all over the field? Yeah I am. I think that is a fair fear to have after the media hype he’s gotten all week. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that.
My picks last week, like the Bills film, are ones you throw away. People have been coming up to me in the streets, in the grocery store, at the gas station, you name it. “Mitchy Doesnt Know!” “MitchyKnows? More like MitchyBlows!” Those people can take a leisurely stroll down the middle of the i90. You aren’t going to faze me. I push on. I win. Fade me if you want. When it is all said and done, I will be the one who bounces back and ends up on top. Let’s ride.
