Josh Allen Makes the Impossible Possible Once Again as Bills take down Ravens

The Buffalo Bills defeated the Baltimore Ravens and made history tonight. Down 15 points with 4:20 left in the game, the Bills stormed back in the final minutes to defeat the Baltimore Ravens 41-40.

There’s so much to dive into about this game. Good and bad. It’s almost 2 AM CT time as I write this. The YouTube highlights of the game have turned into 59 minutes of highlights about Josh Allen’s career.

So maybe that’s where I’ll go with this.

There’s a lot to break down football-wise about this game that we will do here at Trainwreck Sports on our various platforms.

Keon Coleman having his breakout performance.

Ed Oliver dominating every time they needed him to.

Josh Palmer coming up huge in his first game.

Joey Bosa and the thrill of victory.

But for now, I am going to talk about Josh Allen.

I am 28 years old. I was 3 years old when the playoff drought started and 20 years old when the Bills visited Jacksonville to break the playoff drought.

Josh Allen has made all of those years worth it. Over and over again.

What we saw tonight was special and shouldn’t ever be taken for granted. I don’t care what anyone says – Josh Allen is the greatest football player on planet earth and no one can touch him. He’s an incredibly special player and human. And the second part is the cause of the first.

Every year, it seems Allen elevates to another level. It’s like when you think he’s finally reached his pinnacle, he unlocks a new level of mastery in the position.

Tonight was his magnum opus. So far.

Josh was 16/22 for 251 yards IN THE 4TH QUARTER. He ended up with 394 yards passing and once again had a game with 2 TDs rushing and passing. He surpassed the Bills’ record for rushing TDs and will continue to do so.

But beyond the gaudy stats, the mental game and the intangibles continue to set him apart.

The Ravens extended the lead early in the 3rd quarter and “MVP” chants rained down inside Highmark Stadium.

From that point on, we saw Josh Allen at a different level. One who not only could create answers on the fly – but also achieved such a level of mastery pre-snap, he was unlocking new levels as the game went on.

The 51-yard pass to James Cook doesn’t happen without Allen making multiple changes at the line and adjusting his protection just right. The 32-yard pass to Josh Palmer on the final doesn’t occur unless Josh puts Knox in motion to get a read on the defense and deliver a perfect ball to a receiver he has played one game with.

He’s complete now. He was a bull in a china shop, destroying teams through sheer force and will. And he can still do that to you. But he’s also a surgeon. Someone who can dissect you and has answers for your answers. And he still plays with such joy. Look at Josh Palmer at the end of this game. Listen to Joey Bosa. Hell, look at Allen’s reaction to the win.

The Buffalo Bills are Josh Allen. And because of that, they are now the Super Bowl favorites and America’s team.

As a 28-year-old lifelong Bills fan, I once thought I would never see the day that the Bills would have a great quarterback, let alone a historically great one.

But now? Now I know that with Josh Allen, there is no such thing as limitations. There is only hope. There is only belief. There is only possibility.

Josh Allen was worth the wait. The Super Bowl he ends up winning in Buffalo, hopefully this season, will be the same.
