Haliburton and Pacers Stun New York | SGA, Thunder Rumble Over Wolves | Recapping Game 1 of Both NBA Conference Finals

Two words. Tyrese. Haliburton. Haliburton and Pacers Stun New York in Game 1.

After his incredible buzzer-beater to send the game to OT, Hali is now 12/14 on game-tying and go-ahead shots in the final two minutes this season. 12 for 14. That’s nearly 86%.

Pacers Historical Playoff Run

After being down 14 with less than 3 minutes to go, the Pacers, with incredible late-game heroics from Hali and Aaron Nesmith, forced overtime on the back of an astonishing 20-6 4th quarter run. Nesmith finishes this game 8/9 from 3-point land, with a final True Shooting Percentage of 101.6%.

This is the 3rd time this Pacers team has made an unlikely comeback in these playoffs alone. Out of 4 teams to ever come back down 7+ in the final minute of a playoff game, the 2025 Pacers now own 3 of those spots. 3 in a single playoff run.

OKC, SGA Taking Care of Business at Home

OKC rumbled over the Timberwolves in the first game of the Western Conference Finals. Oh, and SGA got cooked by Doris Burke on national TV. Shai had already taken 7 free throws in the first few minutes of the first quarter, and Doris Burke remarked on how people online call him a “Free-Throw Merchant.” This sparked the NBA Twitter community, and the people did not disappoint.

Besides the “free-throw merchant” allegations, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander records his 4th-straight 30-point game, one game away from the OKC playoff record of 5 games, set by SGA in last season’s playoffs.

Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves look to bounce back tonight in Game 2 at 8 pm EST.
