MitchyKnows Looks For Another Profitable Week

The Buffalo Bills stampeded into Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday night to meet the team that ended their season just a year prior in the AFC Championship.

Buffalo constructed their offseason specifically to take down the Chiefs. Last year, the Bills struggled to get pressure on Mahomes without blitzing which led to the Chiefs having their way with us. This offseason, Buffalo used their top 2 draft picks on pass rushers and added weapons in free agency such as Emmanuel Sanders. Everyone knew coming into this season that the Bills were going to be a top team in the NFL, and they proved that during the first four weeks of the season getting out to a 3-1 start and blowing each team out in their victories. The Chiefs game was the true test to see if the work put in by the front office in the offseason proved enough to take down their mighty AFC rival.

Spoiler: it worked.

To go into that hostile environment on a national stage and dominate the Kansas City Chiefs in all three phases of the football game. The defensive line got to Mahomes all night, while not blitzing a single time throughout the game which allowed the Bills to drop 7 into coverage to not get beat deep. The defense had a pick 6 by Micah Hyde, an interception by rookie Greg Rousseau, and a fumble recovery by Tre White to seal the game away.

On the other side of the ball, the Bills offense was humming throughout the entire game. Josh Allen tore up the Chiefs defense with his arm and his legs. He connected with Emmanuel Sanders for two touchdowns, rushed for one himself, and was able to hit Dawson Knox on rollout deep shot for another touchdown. Stefon Diggs was clearly the focal point for the Chiefs defensively, limiting him to two catches, but Diggs and Allen connected for a 60 yard deep shot where Diggs ran right by defenders to get wide open.

Although it was only a week 5 win, this game proved to the team and fans that they have what it takes to take down the perennial top dogs in the AFC.

This week, I will be traveling to Nashville to watch the Bills take down the Titans on Monday Night Football. Nissan Stadium will have a huge Buffalo presence Monday night, as much of the mafia are heading down to Tennessee to party it up for the weekend and heading to the game. I can’t wait to see Buffalo take over Broadway this weekend.

I had myself a winning week last weekend on the picks that I handed out. My college picks went 4-3 followed by a 3-1 day in the NFL. Let’s continue the profitable weeks. The Play from the Boys last week went 0-1-1. That is the first losing week from the boys. This week’s #PlayFromTheBoys is brought to you by @SeanGill10.
