  • The Bulls come into this game at 0-1 in the MAC and 2-2. They dropped their first conference game at home to Bowling Green after holding a late lead. BG went on an 11-0 run to win 86-78.
  • Miami (OH) has yet to play a game within the MAC, but enter the contest at 3-1. The Redhawks hold wins over North Dakota, Western Illinois, and Mount St. Joseph, but lost 71-47 to Wright State.
  • Coming into the season, UB was 4th in the 2020-21 MAC Men’s Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll while Miami (OH) came in 9th. UB’s Jayvon Graves earned a First Team All-MAC selection while Josh Mballa made the Second Team.
  • UB and Miami (OH) played two of their final three games of the 2019-20 season against each other. The Bulls won the first by a score of 75-69, but Miami (OH) bounced back just six days late to bounce the Bulls out of the MAC tournament. People continue to tell me that game happened, but I don’t believe them and I was there. The MAC tournament was cancelled and the Bulls are still defending MAC Champs, sorry!
  • The Redhawks are led by Mekhi Lairy and sixth man Isaiah Coleman-Lands. Lairy averages 12.3 points per game while shooting 46.4% from the field and 45.5% from distance.
  • UB has four scorers averaging double-digit points; Jeenathan Williams 19.8 ppg, Jayvon Graves 17.3 ppg, Ronaldo Segu 14.8 ppg, and Keishawn Brewton 11.0 ppg.
  • Miami (OH) has just 19 steals in four games while UB has 32 in the same amount of games. However, UB has 55 turnover as opposed to just 37 for Miami (OH).
  • UB is a 3.5-point favorite and the O/U is set at 148.5 points.
