The AP Poll came out today and it had UB sitting at #23 despite the recent loss at Bowling Green. Bulls fans HAVE to be excited about this as most were probably expecting us to drop out of the polls with the recent struggles. It shows how much respect that voters do in fact have for us and how we (might) have an at-large bid pretty much locked up. We are also 23rd in the NET Rankings which are used more to determine NCAA Tournament seeding.
Lots of people are wavering after the hot start the Bulls had this year. Everyone who is panicking right now are suckers though if you ask me. I mean I saw someone legit say that Jeremy shouldn't be starting because he's in a slump. What a god awful take that is. Did they not see him completely dominate the #1 pick DeAndre Ayton last year?? Oh yeah fuck it let's bench one of our leading scorers because he is having a rough stretch.
Uhhhh sounds pretty bad to me. Shoot to get hot, shoot to stay hot. That's what Harris will do. When he has another 30+ point game after getting out to he court 7 hours early to shoot, I don't want to hear it from the peanut gallery. (Shoutout Josh Reed for the BIG scoop that a D1 player is getting up extra shots before the game)
Then, we got John Wawrow at us again after he said he'd never respond to the Trainwreck folks (lol). I guess he didn't respond this time so technically he was right. Instead, he decided to give us a mention in his recap article of which he probably didn't watch the game again. I don't mean to be picky, but maybe could you @ us next time. Either way very kind of you.
He did act like calling us "pom/pom wavers" was a bad thing though. Sorry I root for my team? Am I supposed to immediately criticize the team after a tough game? Were you insulting the fine UB Cheerleaders who put in WORK during the timeouts and absolutely chuck those Tees for Threes? We are not on their level, they're better than us. All I do is occasionally post something on social media. What they do takes physical talent of which I have none.
Ever heard of a quote "tough times don't last, tough people do." Well guess what John, us "pom/pom wavers" are TOUGH.
The Bulls have off until Saturday when they play Central Michigan. I don't know what the spread will be, but I'd take it. Bulls easily by 25 in a bounce-back spot at home.
P.S.- John, can't wait to read your article on March 16th talking about how good UB is and how we're going to be a problem in the NCAA Tournament. Really looking forward to it.
